Helloooooo, it's been such a busy time for the last couple of months. I've been working hard at getting together new stock... getting together as in crochet and crafting like a mad woman. 

While I've been making the items my hubby Kris has been doing all the technical stuff. He's opened more outlets for us to sell on such as Etsy, Amazon and reorganised parts of our own web store (though he says its still needs a few tweaks). All I know is it looks 100% better. 

I'll add a link for our web store in my next blog post which, as of this week, I will try to do on a weekly basis. Oh and there will be code to enter for 5% off your order when you buy direct from our web store! Yay! I do like a bit of money off.

After making the Prayer Beads I decided I had to keep one for myself and I have to say I've noticed a difference in how much calmer I have become. I have done a little video showing my own set of beads which will be going on to our Youtube channel in the next day or so.

There is just so much to tell you all but I don't want to drone on so I will get back to my crochet and update you some more on my next post.

Yay Our First Review on YouTube

Hello all, I'm so excited, Everyone's Secret Spirit has a review on YouTube! After watching a video on YouTube by Imogen aka missimoinsane it was decided that we should approach her with regards to reviewing some of our Wicca products and she agreed. Yay!

So package was made up of 2 smudge sticks, a talisman, confidence perfume and a sleep bag. 

All wax sealed

The tags are all hand made

The muslin bags are purchased but I hand sew the lace pieces

The oil is used more as a calming effect than a perfume for all around to small

They were packaged as if they were being sent to a customer. The package also includes a thank you card and a business card with 5% discount on a future purchase over £5.

To be honest I have been nattering about the review since first contact with Imogen, from the packaging to the actual product if they would meet her standards, but I am over the moon as to how happy she was with everything.

Worry Dolls

Hello,  I added a few new things to my shop and these Worry Dolls were one of them, as I had quite a few to make I thought I'd share the process with you.

I start by putting 2 pieces of thick jute, one for the arms and one for the head body and legs.

Items needed, Jute and various colours of wool

 Once you have these items then its time to start wrapping

First the legs

Wrap the wool to make trousers or you could use a piece of material to make a dress or skirt

Now its time to add the arms and a sweater

The back of the worry doll

 Time to add the hair, pony tail, plait, or spikes

 Now all that's needed is to add the rest of the family to take away all the worry

No two dolls are the same

 I hope you enjoyed seeing how these dolls were made

Voodoo

Hello all,  I decided to have a break from crochet and made something a little different. Here are a few pictures showing the progress of my voodoo dolls.
I began by drawing out a simple pattern on paper. I wanted the doll to have a primitive look.

Stitching the pieces together

The body sewn and turned to the right side

 

Now for the legs, oblong pieces the more simple the better

Heart pinned and ready to stitch

Random stitches

Two dolls completed with buttons for eyes

A couple of stitches added to the arms and legs for elbows and knees

Arms and legs sewn on in white with black stitches to give the voodoo look

Oh and here's my huge pincushion that holds all I need when I sew.
