.
I had some gorgeous hot pink metallic material for some tops I was going to make and set to work.
I wanted some colour on the arm rests and as they are removable it made life alot easier.
Once again it was a case of make it up as you go along as there didn't seem to be any pattern I could find which would have helped. I cut a piece of material and measured it against the arm I kept snipping and cutting until there was just enough to cover the arm and still have room for a hem all round. The material was really good to work with as it had some stretch to it so hopefully it would tighten as it was fitted.
After hemming I threaded elastic in the seam and put a safety pin in the ends to hold it while I measured approx how much I needed to hold it tight yet to enable easy fitting and removal. Once Id got this then I stitched it and tidied the whole piece.
This is the cover elasticated
These pictures show how it was fitted
