Ive not been using a wheelchair for all that long and am still trying not to trap my fingers in the spokes when I start rolling down a slope on the foot path. I'm the type of person who wants to grow old disgracefully, I love bright colours, tattoos and piercings so you can understand that my black wheelchair I affectionately called the beast ( for its capacity to hold my wide ass) didn't exactly fill me with excitement.
Ive already made a furry throw for the seat but I wanted more and as crafting is one of my loves I set about searching the Internet. Most of the items I found were for pre made sheep skin seat covers but I wanted something more original. So I took it upon myself to see what I could do. I did think of stickers but perhaps that would look a little tacky when they began to age. I did see quite a few bags to hang from the handles when got the juices going. I used a couple of quilted pillow cases added ties for the handles, sequins, key rings and badges. The pattern was a "make it up as you go along" thing which seems top have worked out pretty well for me
